Hi! I'm a record producer and studio engineer in the Seattle area. I specialize in old-school, love-and-support record production. It's my job to take you through the recording process from conception to reality, giving you access to my skills as a writer, arranger, performance coach, and cheerleader, all while making you sound your very best with lots and lots of microphones. What I offer is a bespoke experience, specific to your needs as an artist. What we're doing is capturing a moment in time, recording your creativity, so that ten or twenty years down the road you'll have not only a permanent preservation of your art and who you were at that time in your life, but also all the memories associated with it. Not simply of the recording process (which is and should always be fun), but of your release show, your positive reviews, your friends and the strangers who come up to you and tell you how wonderful your work is, and how much it means to them. I studied creative writing at the University of Washington and digital audio engineering at Shoreline Community College, before interning at London Bridge Studios (also in Shoreline). After my internship I started working at The Vera Project, where I developed and continue to teach the studio recording workshop, giving the students and the bands the experience of making a "big studio" record. I also co-founded North Seattle College's audio engineering certificate program. I currently work at Earwig Studio in Wallingford. While that's my preferred spot, I can work out of other studios around town, including: The Vera Project, Mysterious Red X, London Bridge Studios, and Robert Lang Studios. You can check out my discography on my website: _Website not available. Sign in: https://www.twine.net/signup_ You'll also find a more detailed description of what being a love-and-support producer means, and everything that goes into making a record the way that focuses on artist experience.

paper Jason McCue - Screen, Turn On

Produced and mixed this album, which was home recorded by Jason. This was made during the pandemic, so we were unable to get into the studio to record. Still, through much email and phone calls, we were able to create something that reflected Jason’s creativity and vision. Even if I didn’t get to put up as many drum mics as I like to.

paper Beautiful Freaks - We Talk to Birds

This project was produced over the course of a year, with extensive pre-production, many hard hours of studio time, and in depth mixing to bring the artist’s vision into the world. I took on the role of producer, recording engineer, and mixing engineer, with the mastering being done by Rachel Field at Resonant Mastering in Seattle. We recorded at London Bridge Studios and Mysterious Red X.
