I began my professional journey as a designer in Northwest Arkansas in 2014, where I balanced freelance projects with my academic pursuits at the University of Arkansas School of Art, ultimately achieving my degree. My path led me to New York City for an internship at Robin Ruth, where I acquired significant industry experience. Subsequently, I moved to the West Coast to intern with a Los Angeles-based apparel company that specialized in Netflix merchandise. These formative experiences not only refined my design capabilities but also enriched my understanding of the industry and the dynamics of creative collaboration. From 2017 to 2022, I had the privilege of working closely with Sam’s Club and Walmart Marketing, concentrating on improving the in-store customer experience through strategic packaging and signage. This role enabled me to collaborate with various marketing teams, gaining valuable insights into customer challenges and exploring effective solutions. I built strong relationships and established efficient workflows that allowed me to meet deadlines while enhancing my leadership skills. In 2022, I advanced to a Specialist Designer position at Macy’s within the Fashion and Value Identity team. In this capacity, I worked alongside designers and copywriters to craft visually compelling digital experiences, including homepages, sitelets, promotional emails, and rich push notifications. This role allowed me to contribute to engaging content that resonated with customers. In 2023, I joined a new team at Macy’s focused on homepage design, aiming to enhance the promotional and editorial content on Macys.com. Most recently, since 2024, I have been with Walmart Connect as a Senior Designer, collaborating with Art Directors, Designers, and Copywriters to create innovative digital solutions for Walmart.com. In this position, I strive to achieve business objectives while executing designs that reflect current trends and uphold brand standards across web and mobile platforms, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user experience.
