I'm Lizzy, a freelance video editor, motion graphics designer, award-winning documentary filmmaker, videographer, and photographer. I founded Equity Media, a production company dedicated to creating compelling visual content at the intersection of media and social justice. I also recently directed, filmed, and produced my first documentary feature film on redlining, called "Divisible". This award-winning film examines the national policy of redlining, using Omaha, Nebraska as a case study to discuss its importance and continued impact. My career is a mosaic of full-time employment and freelance contract. Most recently, I worked as the Senior Video Producer at the Voter Formation Project, a non-profit working to increase voter participation and civic engagement in underrepresented communities year-round. I was also the Video Manager at The Hub Project, Lead Photographer and Videographer at an advertising and marketing agency in Colorado, and the photography intern for Major League Baseball and Boston magazine. I graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a Bachelors in Communication, while working as a freelancer for various clients around the greater Boston area. I consider photography and videography as both an art form and a compelling storytelling-tool. I understand how powerful media exposure and representation can be in a world that is increasingly plugged-in. As a result, I ultimately hope to dedicate my life to capturing visually striking stories of marginalized communities and environmental issues that are too frequently overlooked and ignored.

    paper Divisible

I started researching for Divisible in the summer of 2020, and premiered the film at its first festival on March 1st, 2024. This award-winning documentary film focuses on the history and current impact of redlining in the United States, focusing on the specific case of Omaha, Nebraska to show how this practice continually affects and harms people and cities across the nation. To do so, the film uses a collection of interviews with individuals who are experts on the topic, either through their profession, their lived experiences, or both.

As Director, Executive Producer, Co-Writer, Cinematographer, Animator, Drone Operator, and more, this project what an incredibly educational experience from start to finish. It helped me build the skills, confidence, and experience that has propelled me forward in my work with clients across the globe.
