This message begins with a statement I’ve heard since I was little, one that still echoes in my mind: “You’re so creative!” But what does it really mean to be creative? For me, it comes down to three essential things: having the mental flexibility of a child, being honest with oneself, and -most importantly- finding answers. Answers to questions that haven’t yet been asked, to problems that appear without warning, to situations one never imagined. Being creative goes beyond an overused adjective or a LinkedIn hashtag. It means figuring things out on the fly, learning by doing, and revisiting the old to uncover the new. Creativity requires humility and versatility: adapting to the environment, learning from it, and reinventing it. This is what, given the opportunity, would allow me to truly stand out within your team.
