Madison Branch, originally from Longview, Texas, creates large scale oil paintings and smaller mixed media collages. Her work uses abstract imagery to explore the means through which an individual constructs their sense of self. Her goal is to create pieces which embody the idea that a person is not a discrete entity, but a mosaic of experiences. In addition to fine art, she also works with digital illustration. These illustrative pieces reflect the bright colors and layering of shapes that is found in her paintings and collages. Madison received her BFA from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2018, and MFA from the same institution in 2021.
