Emoke Bada

Hi!
I’m Emőke Bada, a surface designer
Since I was a little girl in Kaduna, colours, forms and lines have filled me with dizzying excitement. Nowadays I get my kicks by combining them in bright, whimsical and charming patterns that radiate joy.

I am of Hungarian and Nigerian origin, living in Portugal. For most of my life I have moved between continents and cultures, consistently finding myself in doorways and on thresholds between them.

The experience I have amassed culminates in my work process and my creations reflect the ever present feeling of neither here nor there.
