I am a Salvadoran award-winning investigative journalist and editor, currently based in the Netherlands, with more than a decade of experience covering disinformation, gender, and political repression in Central America. I reported for El Faro, El Salvador's leading investigative newsroom, from 2011 to 2023, where I also headed the Opinion section. Between 2019 and 2025, I led cross-border collaborations, editorial projects, and initiatives with the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) to strengthen coverage of women’s and LGBTQI+ rights. I have hands-on experience as a researcher, translator, producer, and college-level lecturer. In my previous roles, I've produced digital content using WordPress and Mailchimp, with additional long-form storytelling projects in Shorthand.
