I’m Marija Balubdžić, a Belgrade-born composer and sound designer focused on theatre music, choir, radio and video art projects across Europe. I create original scores, soundscapes and live electronic interventions for stage, radio and multimedia, blending acoustic timbres with electronic textures and waveform counterpoint. As Umbra, my performing alias, I explore voice, electronics and experimental song, pushing the edges of nitty-noisy and melodic idioms. I also work as a conductor, educator and producer, leading experimental youth choirs, curating radio shows Zvuk ispod, and collaborating with drag collective Efemerne Konfesije.
