My name is Marta, I’m 31 and I live in Porto (Portugal). Between 2013 and 2020, I studied sculpture and multimedia (bachelor and masters) at the Fine Arts College of the University of Porto. During college, ceramics became my main focus and I have been working with it ever since. All through my 20s, I have worked in different fields to support my studies, and that helped me learn how to work in big and small teams. Finally in 2022, I found a job working as a ceramicist for Project 213A. During my period at Project, I became in charge of the ceramics team and studio, as the team and the sales were getting bigger. That time as ceramics manager gave me lots of knowledge to get the confidence to start my own studio. Besides that, between 2020 and 2023 I was the studio manager of a co-work space in the center of Porto, with more than 20 artists working there. Some of my responsibilities were to respond to the needs of the artists, organise events (exhibitions, workshops, pop-ups, markets, etc.), contact needed services and suppliers. I believe my biggest strengths are my organization skills, good memory and capability to answer to different tasks at the same time, which makes my efficiency better.
