I explore how written narratives can be translated into images through character interpretation, scene selection, visual pacing and art direction. The works range from short-story adaptation and literary comics to classical Chinese tales and reimagined mythology.
Rather than simply illustrating individual scenes, I focus on identifying the emotional and narrative core of a text and rebuilding it as a coherent visual experience.

The Girl and the Moon-Horse is an original illustrated picture book about courage, kindness and a world slowly returning to color.
I developed the story, visual direction and book concept, using Midjourney as part of an AI-assisted illustration workflow. The visual language moves from monochrome with restrained red accents toward a fuller palette as the story unfolds.
The project included story development, visual direction, illustration curation, character and style consistency, page composition and final book production.
