Hello! My name is Matt, and I have been working in various forms of freelance digital media for nearly a decade. I began writing travel articles for a site called SmarterTravel, where I learned how to use content management systems (or CMSs) like Wordpress and Squarespace, along with the basics of search engine optimization (or SEO). Later I worked at NOVA with PBS to learn video editing, audio recording and editing, fact checking, and screenwriting. I then went on to work for the site Gamepressure where I honed all of these skills to create various forms of written, video, and audio content focused on the fast-growing space of video games. Whenever I find myself with time between projects, I never stop creating content. When I was young I created a gaming YouTube channel that helped teach me social media skills, graphic design, and more. I have also created my own websites to share blogs and other content, such as Matt Goes Exploring and FinallyGotAroundTo which helped me master growing platforms like YouTube and Substack. Most recently I have begun working as a producer for a few upcoming projects including a social media-focused documentary series and a video game podcast. These days, when people think of the term "content creator," I'm not exactly what they imagine, but it's what I am. I can't help myself but continue to create and share, and I would love to bring those skills to your project as well.
