Matt graduated from Berklee College of Music in May 2022 with a BA in Music Composition for Film, TV, and Games. He has a tremendous passion for composition, from film and game scoring to contemporary classical music and orchestration. Born in Zimbabwe, Matt grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, before eventually moving to the United Arab Emirates - you could say he is a global citizen. Matt has an extensive background in music after having trained as a classical pianist from a young age. He has performed at various events and competitions across South Africa, the UAE, Bahrain and Zimbabwe. Not to be limited to one style, Matt is also a highly-skilled lead guitarist and has spent many years playing in rock and metal bands. In university, he became involved in the EDM scene and experimented with writing electronic music and DJing. In 2018, Matt completed a diploma in Sound Engineering from Cape Audio College, where he learned the skills to be an effective recording and mix engineer. Matt is currently focusing on building a strong foundation in the composition industry. He also tries to find the time to work on original compositions in contemporary classical and metal. Aside from music, Matt’s hobbies are film and video games, as well as sports like golf, snowboarding, and Formula 1.
