He is the leader of the Maxwell Close Collective, performing original music at venues ranging from the Berklee Performance Center to intimate clubs, while continuously pushing the boundaries of modern jazz and fusion. Maxwell has performed across many styles and settings, including his own headlining show at the Berklee Performance Center, Anime Boston Mainstage, the Geneva Jazz Festival, and numerous additional concerts and events. His versatility as a drummer and musician allows him to adapt seamlessly to diverse musical environments, whether on stage or in the studio. Alongside his performing career, Maxwell has been an educator for over two years, teaching at Horus Academy and working with private students of all ages and experience levels. He is also currently a board member at Horus Academy, contributing to curriculum development and the school’s artistic direction. Maxwell is pursuing a B.A. in Performance and Music Business/Marketing at Berklee College of Music, with an expected graduation in 2027. Beyond music, he is passionate about creative media, offering video editing and photography services for artists and organizations. He regularly edits content for himself and others and welcomes collaborations. Always motivated and ready to create, Maxwell is open to new projects, performances, and creative partnerships. He is based in Boston and has access to transportation.
