I was born and raised in Paris, and I picked up the guitar at 12. I moved to New York City in the fall of 1993 to chase the music, studying with Mike Stern and Wayne Krantz along the way. I later formed my own jazz projects and released my debut album Circles, Live @ 55 Bar in 2002 on the British label String Jazz, which helped launch my ongoing jazz career. I went on to found Diverses, a 10-piece band with horns and strings, and then the Medeljazz Quartet in Paris, releasing Yesternow, Jacaranda Jazz, and Versature. Versature has earned airplay in over 100 U.S. radio stations, on France Musique, and even ranked #1 on Top Music Japan. I’ve performed at Blue Note NY, Birdland NY, Smalls NY, and across Europe, and I’ve collaborated with artists such as Keith Carlock, JT Lewis, Cindy Blackman Santana, and Steve Laspina.
