Since 2025, I have been working as a freelance Android developer. I support startups and companies on mobile-related challenges. My assignments cover auditing, development, and taking over existing applications. I work independently or as part of a team. I collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams. Clients: - Fraikin: audited a business application, provided recommendations, and improved the architecture - AaliaTech: took over an application, stabilized it, and optimized performance - GravityCab: developed an Android application from scratch with a scalable architecture My responsibilities: - Technical leadership of Android projects, from scoping to production release - Conducting technical audits (architecture, performance, code quality) - Developing Android applications in Kotlin (Jetpack Compose) - Taking over and stabilizing existing applications - Migrating to modern architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture) - Establishing quality standards (testing, code reviews, best practices) - Implementing CI/CD pipelines - Supporting and mentoring technical teams

Founded in 1997 in Japan, Rakuten is a major global e-commerce player, generating several billion euros in revenue and employing over 30,000 people worldwide. The group is also known for its comprehensive digital ecosystem and strong presence in Europe through its consumer marketplace. I joined Rakuten’s Android mobile development team in 2021 for a duration of 4 years. I contributed to the development of the mobile application for buying and selling products. We were organized into two squads covering the Buyer and Seller scopes. My team consisted of: - 3 Android developers - 3 iOS developers - 1 Product Owner - 2 QA testers My responsibilities: - Developing features for the Android application in Kotlin (Jetpack Compose) - Fixing complex bugs and optimizing performance (memory leaks, stability) - Designing and evolving an MVVM architecture with a Repository pattern - Implementing and improving unit tests (Mockito) - Integrating REST web services (Retrofit, OkHttp, RxJava) - Collaborating with product, design, and backend teams in an Agile (Scrum) environment - Participating in code reviews and continuous code quality improvement
