    Tomato Soup – Independent Mobile Game Development Project

    Tomato Soup is a mobile arcade game developed entirely by me as a solo developer using Unity. The project was designed, programmed, tested, optimized, published, and maintained independently, covering every stage of the game development process from concept creation to release on Google Play.

    The core gameplay revolves around a fast-paced endless runner experience where players control a tomato character and collect Tomato Soup items while avoiding dangerous obstacles and enemy characters. The game features progressively increasing difficulty, score tracking, character unlock systems, in-game progression mechanics, visual effects, sound effects, and user-friendly mobile controls designed specifically for touchscreen devices.

    As the sole developer of the project, I was responsible for all technical and creative aspects, including gameplay programming, UI/UX implementation, game balancing, save systems, character systems, audio integration, optimization, bug fixing, publishing preparation, and post-release updates.

    Throughout development, several advanced mobile game systems were implemented, including:

    • Character unlock and progression systems
    • In-app purchase integration
    • Mobile user interface design and optimization
    • Save and high-score systems using PlayerPrefs
    • Sound and music management systems
    • Difficulty scaling and game balancing
    • Pause, continue, and revive mechanics
    • Multiple character support and cosmetic skins
    • Google Play publishing pipeline and release management
    • Version control and ongoing update support

    The project also included the implementation of a premium Ninja Tomato character, complete with unique gameplay abilities, cooldown systems, special visual effects, and monetization features. Additional updates introduced gameplay improvements, bug fixes, enhanced animations, improved UI elements, and various quality-of-life features based on testing and user feedback.

    One of the most valuable aspects of Tomato Soup was that it was created entirely by a single developer. This required not only programming skills but also problem-solving, project management, game design, testing, publishing, and long-term maintenance abilities. The project provided hands-on experience in the complete mobile game development lifecycle and demonstrated the ability to independently bring a commercial game from idea to release.
