paper El juego como elemento artístico

It’s ironic that a lot of time when we talk about videogames a very important part is forgotten, the "game " part of the "videogame ".

Everything began with this tweet which I disagree with.

My favorite part, besides the ending, it was syncronizing the Marth’s throws and Ken’s combo from Super Smash Bros. Melee. Despite showing the background made in Adobe After Effects, which I like a lot, but I think it works way better when you just can see the corners or hidden.

It’s my own script, edited in Adobe Premiere, background made with after effects, recorded and post-produced in Audacity.

    Thanks for your time :)

paper A Short about two lovers reunited after decades apart.

My involvement in this short was related to everything visual and sound. The video was edited on Adobe Premiere, with the digital grading edited on DaVinci Resolve and audio was tuned in Audacity.

You can watch it on YouTube as an unlisted video.

paper A video-essay edited, written and narrated by me.

This is my most complete and my favorite video, probably because it’s me yapping about something I love with passion.

The original idea was to have a speedpaint of the thumbnail o the background while I talk about stuff and add images on top of it, the use of the chroma, me being on screen and recycling the intro background was a happy mistake, turned out rmuch better than the original idea.

One of my favorite scenes (visually) was a meta joke where I used the missing thumbnail as a blackboard to project stuff on, everything because I couldn’t find the soundbite I was looking soundbite.

Better narration would make it betetr but hey, I’m only one guy.

Written by me, edited on Adobe Premiere, intro made with After Effects, recorded and graded on Audacity, intro graphics and background made on midjourney.

paper The CM Punk story at AEW and the Midge Ure Cover.

If I really have to explain the title, the song and the story, believe, there are not enough words on this Earth, I spare you the details and just talk about the video. You just have to understand that, yeah, it’s him, he did.

While we’re at it, I was also inspired by the Metal Gear solid 3 zone change, because it adds a lot in the visual department and helps to stablish where we are at his run at the company.

A theme through all the video are CM Punk’s gripes and frustrations, how his personal life and feeling bled into the screen, what as fans saw, the same way it did on the show it’s displayed in this video through color and distorsion. His worst moments in color, using black and white asmost with a nostalgic feel of his love for Pro Wrestling.

paper La triste triste historia de Joan Capdevila

A comedy short written, recorded and edited using two items, a kendama and a beret. The project had to be completed in a 48 hour time limit.

The story it’s pretty simple: a beret gives unnatural abilities playing the kendama to the wearer. Despite me being Spanish speaking the short is dubbed in catalonian because I wanted to give it a “foreign film” vibe. To this day, I’m pretty satisfied with how it turned out and some of the editing jokes. I wanted to give it a surreal vibe using 3D graphics, stock photos and camp dramatism, specially when the beret falls to the floor.

If someone told me it’s the best I’ve ever done, I wouldn’t get mad, they might be onto something.

A comedy short where I wrote the script, edited in Adobe Premiere by me. Sound effects were inspired by the “shitposting” style of those years, with much care on the use of sampled sound in order to make people laugh.
