Hello! I’m Mert Erenel, a creative and detail-oriented video editor with 5+ years of experience across post-production, motion graphics, and digital media coordination. I craft compelling visual narratives for diverse platforms using tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
Over the years I’ve produced and directed video content for adverts, tutorials, music videos and political campaigns, led live shoots with Blackmagic gear, trained interns, and collaborated with international teams. I’m excited to bring storytelling and technical skills to a globally minded team.
Directed and edited a short film with a crew using professional video equipment. Created a non-linear love story showcasing the ups and downs of a relationship without dialogue. As each scene had different emotional stakes, guided actors to convey certain emotions in certain situations. Edited each scene in relation to the rhythm and narration in the background. Added music that reflected the story’s emotional moments.
Created infographic videos using Adobe After Effects for the Democratic Party’s international branch with the goal of reaching out to American expats to vote in the U.S. 2020 presidential election. All deliverables in accordance with different social media platforms’ formats (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
Produced, directed and edited video content such as adverts, tutorials and music videos. Acted in an administrative role. Set up live recording shoots using a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro ISO along with Blackmagic Cinema 2K-4K cameras. Trained incoming interns on the basics of video production, lighting, and editing.
Worked on the political advertisement and marketing strategy team for one of the U.S. 2020 presidential candidate’s official campaign. Stepped in as an assistant editor to organize and edit (via Premiere) footage in post-production while also working as a production assistant for local shoots. Researched and wrote briefings on potential WIN candidates. Compiled daily and weekly news summaries in relation to WIN.
