Rocks kissing

rocks kissing is an experimental short film exploring ideas of reconnection and disconnection through an intimate view into the natural world. the film is deeply autobiographical and inspired by a backpacking trip taken after a long period of disconnection - the physicality of the atlantic coast inspired a quiet but forceful (re)introduction back into the self. Tender and intimate, the film submerges the viewer and asks them to dive deep into this new world. The use of tactile undercamera techniques on layered tracing paper creates a dense visual universe that becomes increasingly muted and hazy with each additional layer.
