For the last 8 years, I have dedicated myself to financial systems design, specialising in bitcoin, trading and investment systems, research, and methodology, this is because it is a personal passion of mine. I’ve seen what the banks and their associates are up to, working across retail and institutional finance, and have developed an in-depth knowledge of the various sides of this financial system. I've created new design thinking and concepts to handle the very specific interaction people have with money, with a key focus on empowering the retail user, as well as having ideated and designed many concepts I'd love to test and apply in this industry. Before this, I spent several years working on mobile app design beginning at the launch of the Apple App Store. I strive towards instilling simplicity, solid communication, validation, and trust, in sophisticated experiences that can often be bewildering and unclear for users. I believe that in designing Bitcoin and traditional retail trading and investment products, especially on mobile, it has been an acceptable practice to realise experiences that give rise to lapses in discipline, appeal to impulse, and narrow our perspective of the markets we trade. The retail trader isn’t supported by current design thinking and most will never make it. The fact that 90% of retail traders lose means we have a social responsibility to expedite their goal of becoming disciplined at wealth while mitigating their propensity for loss to the lowest degree possible.
