Nicolas Monnet

I work as a journalist at L'Indépendant, a regional daily newspaper based in Perpignan, in the south of France, where I have been covering local politics, elections, and regional affairs for over 16 years across print, digital, and social media. My work combines traditional reporting with data journalism — sourcing, analysing, and visualising complex datasets to tell stories that matter to local audiences. I have a strong command of SEO and GEO optimisation, and I am well-versed in using AI tools to enhance content research and production workflows. I hold a degree in media literacy, and I am deeply engaged with the evolving challenges of digital journalism and audience development.
