Hi, my name is Helen and I am a motion graphics designer and video editor with over 15 years experience in the industry. I have just recently left a full-time position with IVE - Elastic as their Motion Graphics Designer and Video Editor, responsible for producing and art directing motion projects from explainer videos, to TVCs. Just before IVE, I worked at News Corp in their Vertical Storytelling team producing animated vertical explainers, as well as supporting the wider team with their motion graphic needs, and prior to News Corp, I lived and worked in Newcastle for a creative agency called Headjam as their Senior Broadcast Designer for five years. In this role I was responsible for all things motion from live action to animated projects for delivery to both TV and online platforms. I also lived in London for five years, first working as a junior editor for a commercial production company, Annex Films, based in Soho, and then went on to start up my own small production company called The Visual Collective, specialising in animation for brands and the education sector. Although I am highly skilled in video editing, my passion is motion graphics and animation. My work experience has me involved in the creative brainstorm process for campaigns that involve video and animation components, I’m actively worked to streamline internal processes for content delivery, and managing projects by working closely with the design team and art directors to produce quality pieces for our clients. I love being on the tools as well overseeing the delivery of projects from concept through to finished art. I thoroughly enjoy working alongside other creatives and the camaraderie associated with project teams. Through my experience running my own business, and as a Senior Broadcast Designer at Headjam I have developed a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and creative problem solving skills that would be a valued addition to your team’s culture.
