I am an analytical Electrical & Electronic Engineering student with a passion for mathematical reasoning, structured problem solving, and making thoughtful, human-centered decisions under uncertainty. I enjoy breaking complex problems into clear steps and applying quantitative analysis to real-world challenges. Beyond academics, I have mentored and led teams, supported refugees, and helped create safe, inclusive communities as a Residential Advisor. I thrive in interdisciplinary settings where abstract reasoning, ethical judgment, and practical engineering meet real-world impact.

    paper Muntasir Masud Project Portfolio

    Smart Energy Project
I worked in a small engineering team to design and build a Smart Energy Monitor capable of measuring and displaying household power consumption. The project combined analogue circuit design, embedded firmware, and PCB development. I helped design and simulate voltage and current sensing circuits in LTSpice, programmed an AVR microcontroller to calculate real‑time power metrics, and contributed to integrating the system onto a custom PCB. The final prototype accurately monitored energy usage and communicated data both on‑device and via Bluetooth, strengthening my practical skills in embedded systems, hardware design, and cross‑disciplinary engineering.

    VHDL Flappy Bird project
For this embedded systems project, our team implemented a real‑time version of Flappy Bird entirely in hardware using VHDL on an Altera FPGA board. I contributed to designing and verifying digital logic modules, generating VGA graphics output, and handling user input through physical controls. Using tools like Quartus and ModelSim, we built a fully functional hardware‑accelerated game that demonstrated our understanding of digital design, timing, and low‑level interfaces.
