FERNANDA GURGEL

Hi, I’m Fernanda Gurgel, a colorist and post-production specialist based in Lisbon. I have more than a decade of experience in color correction, restoration, finishing, and editorial workflows across cinema, television, documentary, and video art. I thrive on archival projects and artist-led moving image work, often collaborating across international contexts to balance technical precision with a sensitive, visually expressive approach.

My career has taken me through Portugal, Brazil, Cuba, Poland, and the United States, working with institutions like Cinemateca Portuguesa, MoMA, Asian Film Archive, BFI, and FOX. I’m driven by culturally significant restoration-focused projects and by delivering high-quality finishing that honors historical material while serving contemporary storytelling.
