Nan Joubá is a Tokyo-educated multimedia director, writer, and visual storyteller working across film, video, performance, and community-engaged projects. His practice centers immigrant and queer narratives, civic life, and creative collaboration—often building participatory formats with local neighbors, artists, and cultural organizations.
He directs bilingual and multilingual works (including Spanish), produces video and audio documentaries/podcasts, and leads production and community learning initiatives in Providence, Rhode Island and Mexico.
