Wiwitan Yoga Studio & Shala is a renovation project that transformed a former restaurant (Bhumi Durian) into a dedicated yoga space. Spanning a land area of 1,443 m², the owner, Mrs. Debbie, envisioned a modern minimalist concept integrated with traditional Javanese elements to preserve the local cultural identity of its Yogyakarta location. In terms of layout, several existing building structures were retained with their interior functions reconfigured. Meanwhile, new structures and areas were introduced, including a swimming pool, a sitting group, an office area, a prayer room (mushola), and a security post. The traditional Javanese pavilion (pendopo) was preserved and refurbished, with new structural reinforcements added to support its new function as an outdoor yoga space.
