Hi, I’m Neli Pantsulaia, a Georgian-born composer, sound and performance artist based in Berlin. I completed a Master’s degree in music composition at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen in 2020, studying with mentors including Niels Rosing-Schow, Jeppe Just Christensen, and Hans Peter Stubbe Teglbjærg. My work crosses genres and emphasizes dramaturgy-based narratives, using different art forms. After my studies in electronic composition at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, I earned a BA in Music Technology from the Tbilisi State Conservatoire. My music has been performed in Georgia, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Austria, and the Netherlands. I am a member of the multidisciplinary duo Shattered Objects and co-founder, co-director, and performer with Sophia Sagaradze, exploring politically charged aspects of cultural identity through performances that blend experimental aesthetics with new music and pop-cultural perspectives within our socioculturally complex backgrounds. In 2022 I co-founded Fragment, an artist-led, BIPOC-driven independent Copenhagen-based radio and event platform focused on cultivating space for QTBIPOC communities. Currently I work as a freelance composer, performance artist and sound designer.
