Lahkonočnice (eng. Bedtime Stories) are a collection of children’s stories written by contemporary Slovenian authors. The illustrations approach the book as a space for visual exploration rather than decoration. By using mixed media techniques such as oil pastels, collage, acrylics, watercolors and handmade textures created with everyday objects, the images remain visibly handmade and process-driven. Traces of touch, layering, and imperfection invite children to slow down, observe details, and form their own interpretations, turning reading into an active and sensory experience.
