    I spent the first part of last year scoring the short documentary Beekeeper which follows Keith Griffith III's journey in beekeeping while both of his parents were incarcerated. It's an inspiring story about mental health, building a business as a young teenager, and his family coming together. If you're thinking, this doesn't sound like the Jason Statham action thriller, you're right!     Subtle Frequencies was recorded during a broadcast in October, using synths, sax, flute, effects, vocals, and loops. We filled both sides of a 90 minute tape and it was edited down to about 20 minutes of improvised instrumental bliss! The music is textural, my introduction into the world of recorded soundscapes. The record is released in collaboration with FPE Records and a limited quantity of cassettes are available via their website. The cassette features an exclusive 20 minute meditation from Nelson and I.     Since moving to California I've had the opportunity to write scores for commercials and short films and in turn it's affected my writing process. I put together a compilation of soundscapes, piano themes and improvisations written during this time called Rush Hour. Inspired by walks through downtown LA and the highways, watching traffic became a meditation.
