I am Óscar Enrique Gómez Rodríguez, a social action researcher and professor focused on power, human rights, and public policy. I work across networks and institutions, bridging multidisciplinary and intercultural perspectives to generate research that informs policy and practice. My experience spans public and private institutions in Colombia and beyond, and I enjoy working with quantitative, qualitative, and mixed data using tools such as SPSS, Atlas.ti, Nvivo, ELAN, Ethnograph, and Vensim PLE. Over the years I have contributed to rights restitution projects, supported women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship training, and trained community police officers to foster citizen coexistence. I currently teach and conduct public policy research at the National University of Colombia and partner institutions, with a passion for building inclusive networks and training materials that help people learn and apply research concepts in real-world settings.
