paper The Disappeared Women in Syria event

Isn’t it painful that we still have to speak about forced disappearances, even now after the fall of the Assad regime? Isn’t it deeply disappointing that women continue to be targeted by all forces?

The Disappeared Women in Syria event, which I was privileged to work on, commemorates Samar Saleh, the Syrian activist who was forcibly disappeared by Daesh. It is also a space to remember all the women who have been forcibly disappeared since 2011, as well as those who have been kidnapped more recently.

As a Media Coordinator, I took on the responsibility of creating and managing social media content for the event. This included producing videos, designing posters, and developing brochures, as well as curating engaging posts to raise awareness and reach a wider audience. My role was not only to ensure that the visual identity of the campaign was clear and consistent, but also to highlight the voices and stories of the women we were commemorating.
