About
I’m Omid Mahdavi, an independent Iranian filmmaker and visual storyteller with professional experience since 2009. I work across the full filmmaking process—directing and writing, cinematography and camera operation, editing, post-production, and festival presentation—covering short films, documentaries, experimental cinema, music videos, promotional content, and digital video.
I’m especially interested in remote and international collaboration, whether it’s documentary editing, short film editing, trailers and teasers, music videos, YouTube content, branded video, or cinematography support. I founded Zabt Studio and also serve as the director/organizer of the Persian Experimental Film Fest, combining hands-on production work with a strong festival and distribution mindset.
