Paolo La Naia was born in Milan in 1997. In 2023 he obtained a Master's Degree in Cinema and New Media at IULM University. Among the various works realised during his university years figure Dario (52‘, 2023), a documentary that won the “Best Drama” category at the Reale Film Festival 2023; the short film Isole (18’, 2023), finalist at the Milano Short Film Fest 2023 and selected for the Rome Prisma Awards 2023 and the Metropolis Film Fest 2023; Il cammino dell'acqua (25', 2023), a corporate documentary produced by IULM Movie Lab. In July 2023 he was selected as one of 20 participants of the International Filmmaking Academy in Bologna, where he attended the directing workshop by Ruben Östlund. In October 2024 he was selected for the contest "Visioni Future" during the BAFF 2024. In January 2025 he was selectet for the five-weeks "35mm Cinematography Workshop" in Madrid, run by ESCAC. Since September 2023 he is in the comunication and production team of ANPI Londa Film Festival. He currently works as a freelance filmmaker, camera operator, camera assistant with several production companies in Milan. Among the various projects he has collaborated on are: Né ombra Né luce, a documentary by Andrea Caccia, (premiered at the Filmmaker Festival 2024) ; L'eco delle campane d'inverno, a documentary by Davide Casarotti (winner - Marateale Film Festival 24, finalist - Nebrodi Cine Doc, official selection - Eho Mountain Film Festival and Bansko Film Fest and currently in festival distribution with PREMIERE FILM); L'ultimo miglio a docufilm directed by Giuseppe Carrieri and produced by IULM Movie Lab; Vorrei andarmente ma non me ne andrei mai, a short documentary shot for Argot APS with the support of Fondazione Cariplo.…Paolo La Naia was born in Milan in 1997.
