Delores Flynn is a writer/director who creates shorts and features that dig into themes of identity, loss and perseverance as her characters seek to become more than their circumstances. The Chicago native and Northwestern graduate explores topics like abuse, abandonment, and survival. She also works as a script supervisor on features and commercials. As a former journalist she questioned everything in search of truth for 11 Years at The South Bend Tribune and The Detroit News, experiences that deeply informed her narrative voice. Flynn is an alum of the 2025 inaugural Tyler Perry Studios Dream Collective. The program is run by Dawn Hudson, former CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and producer Nekisa Cooper, the board president for Chicken & Egg Films.
