I am Paz Alemany, a visual designer currently based in Lisbon, where I am pursuing a Master’s in Design and Visual Culture at IADE. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Design from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and have over three years of experience working across branding, retail marketing, freelance projects, and visual communication. Professionally, I have developed packaging, in-store displays, digital campaigns, website graphics, and internal communications for corporate clients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and adapting to diverse industries and brand languages. These experiences strengthened my strategic thinking, versatility, and ability to translate concepts into clear and impactful visual systems. Alongside this professional path, my practice has gradually evolved toward a deeper exploration of visual culture, materiality, and image-making. I am particularly drawn to photography and analog processes as ways of slowing down design and reconnecting it with tactility, time, and observation. My work moves between structure and experimentation, balancing conceptual clarity with intuitive exploration. Living in Lisbon has become an essential part of my creative development. The city’s layered history, tiled facades, textures, and shifting light continually inform the way I observe and create. This environment has reinforced my interest in how surfaces, images, and cultural references carry memory and meaning. I see myself as a designer in constant evolution, curious, adaptable, and always seeking new sources of inspiration. For me, design is not only about solving problems, but about constructing meaningful visual narratives that connect context, concept, and emotion.
