MSc Researcher (Generative AI & MRI) at Champalimaud Foundation

Designed and developed a denoising diffusion probabilistic model (DDPM) to accelerate MRI acquisition. Engineered a novel attention mechanism to synthesize artificial MRI results, achieving higher diagnostic utility than real MRIs as evaluated by radiologists. Reduced MRI acquisition time by an average of 35 minutes per protocol, increasing patient throughput and reducing hospital costs. Deployed the model for active testing within the prostate MRI clinical workflow.
