Editorial Producer

Podcast Producer is needed in London, United Kingdom.

We’re a multidisciplinary editorial team of video and podcast producers, technicians, writers, and graphic designers working within Fidelity International (a global asset manager) to generate content on economics, geopolitics and markets to help relay the thinking of our investment teams to clients and the wider public. Many of us are former journalists with backgrounds from a range of media (BBC, Financial Times, Sky, ITN , The Telegraph) working to turn expert investment ideas into compelling stories for a broader audience.

We need a well-seasoned, self-starting audio producer who can pick up some of our existing award-winning podcast series (https://omny.fm/shows/for-investment-professionals-only/playlists/podcast) as well as develop and launch ones, working closely with senior editorial management and our investment teams.

Job Purpose

-Communicate the depth and breadth of Fidelity’s research and investment knowledge in engaging audio and video formats
-Produce high quality audio and video content for Fidelity in line with Editorial’s departmental objectives
-Oversee and steer audio and video projects undertaken by Editorial or colleagues elsewhere within Fidelity

Main Duties and Responsibilities

-Produce high quality audio and video content to fit Editorial objectives
-Collaborate with Fidelity’s investment teams and key stakeholders to identify compelling ideas and stories appropriate for audio or visual treatment within Editorial
-Help to develop creative audio/visual stories and discussions for Editorial’s suite of podcasts and online publications
-Coordinate, brief, and guide content contributors at all stages of production from research and scripting to on-mic/camera presentations
-Work closely with Fidelity’s investment teams to research, write, and direct audio/visual content
-Support presenters in scripting and live production of podcasts/videos
-Work closely with the Studio Team to achieve seamless production and generation of high quality recordings
-Assist and support contributors in their broadcast appearances/presentations, including any necessary self-recording or self-shooting
-Manage media files and edit recordings to produce polished packages ready for publication
-Research and find music, audio/video clips, and any other additional media for finished audio and video packages
-Write any necessary accompanying text/find illustrations to appear alongside published media Be responsible for the self-sign-off process prior to publication
-Deliver content to relevant publishing platforms, manage the publication of reviewed and approved material
-Complete required administrative tasks to ensure the efficient communication and smooth running of the Editorial Team
-Ready to acquire new skills as technological developments and industry standards evolve
