Educational clips explaining how to create exhibitions

Who are you, and what do you do?
We are a cultural consultancy for exhibition creators and students. As part of our work we provide educational programmes on different levels for young professionals. Our target audience is English speaking and either already active in or studying to be part of the cultural sector, heritage studies or tourism.

What’s the project, and what do you need from a freelancer?
We are in the process of creating a series of short tutorials to explain basic concepts of how to create an exhibition. These tutorials are scripted out and will be narrated by us using a presentation style. The tutorial parts are written as short bursts of about 3-10 minutes and a storyboard will be provided with the narrated text.

We need a freelancer to create short animations/explainers that will accompany the narration audio for the tutorial parts. These should be 2D character lecture-style and 2D motion stories that will be used to explain some of the concepts and examples and thereby combine simple visuals and text. The tutorial videos do not all have to contain 2D animations/characters but can include animated whiteboard text.

We have line drawing sketches of a character/mascot for the educational series which should be animated so as to convey basic emotions (thinking, happy, presenting) and which can be reused as the centre of the lecture. The deliverable for this project includes a handover of the original source files for the animations in Adobe After Effects/Photoshop or whatever other tools were used.

When do you need your project delivered?
Ideally we are hoping to have 3-4 animated clips (of about 30 to 60 seconds each) that should be delivered before the end of the year 2021. We are happy to coordinate with the creator and consult on style and details throughout the process.
