Updating our Figma design system

Who is this project for?
Socialbee is Germany’s leading NGO for integrating refugees into the labour market. We train/upskill, place and accompany refugees in their journey of starting their careers in Germany.

What is the project, and what do you want to achieve with it?
Our Figma designs are ever-growing, however we don’t have a designer in-house and therefore are building to the best of our knowledge. We would love to have a cleaned up and updated version of our design system in Figma so our new junior designer has a good base to start working with.

What is your role within the organisation, or is this a person project?
I am the product manager and the acting designer (for lack of someone else) for socialbee’s platform (=our digital offering).

What are the three top priorities for this project?

• Standardised design system
• Standardised files for existing mockups
• Easily customisable & re-usable components that are easy to develop for our engineering team

Mid-April

Are there reference materials that can be shared to give insight into what is needed?
Yes, we would give you a copy of the Figma file. The new styles are currently not online yet as we’re working towards a launch in beginning of April.
