This role will be based in Burbank, CA and is project hire with an expected duration of 6 months.
In this role, the Feature Film Creative Producer will actively and aggressively helpmake progress toward greenlights on the projects currently in development, as well as seek out new projects to add to the slate.
Your Role Responsibilities…
- Partner with senior execs to develop current story ideas and create new projects
- Actively participate in internal brainstorms and be able to creatively lead these meetings
- Participate in pitch meetings and evaluate incoming material
- Recommend the appropriate writers and talent for projects and provide coverage on material when necessary
- Collaborate effectively with execs and talent to generate new story areas and make progress on active projects
- Suggest new ideas for development and actively seek out new areas to explore
- Partner with senior execs to manage the research aspect of development
- Build research presentations and binders
- Generate slideshows and inspiration/moodboards
- Seeking out story areas and characters for further investigation and development
- Investigate topics of interest for execs, artists and filmmakers
- Advise production execs on green light materials and assist in creating materials
- Network with talent inside and outside the studio, as well as talent representatives (managers and agents) in order to assist in staffing projects and maintaining lists
- Assist with recruiting talent
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience…
- Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Line Producer or senior Creative Exec. preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and creatively tell stories
- Successfully produced animated film, family feature films or VFX heavy films
- Prior experience working in Animation helpful, but not required
- Thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- A trusted creative partner who operates with a strong business mindset and understanding of production needs
- Impeccable judgment and ability to balance the needs of the production, leaders and production staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
