Contract: Part Time
This position is responsible for providing strong proposal publications and graphics support to Proposal Managers and teams during development and finalization of technical proposals, including production of end-deliverables. Critical milestones and end deliverable dates must be met. Compliance with end-customer and internal customer-provided requirements and instructions, as well as use of company and professional publications standards, are a must. Support must also be provided for non-proposal technical documentation, white papers, technical briefings, and in completing position administrative duties, including setting up new proposal folders and granting access to approved team members. The position requires familiarity with, and use of, publications best practices. Work products must be proofed and delivered error-free.
Requirements:
Requires an Associate’s degree and 6 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Knowledge of:
- Publication and graphics layout/design features to enhance the professional quality and aesthetics (“look and feel”) of end-deliverable electronic files and hardcopy documents
- Pertinent publication standards and best practices
- Creative, advanced and time-saving publication techniques
- Integrating graphics/artwork into publications source files (e.g., reports, proposals)
- Computer desktop publishing and graphics industry-standard applications (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat)
- Printing, typography, reproduction and document production processes
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Effectively interface with all levels of personnel and work in a team environment
- Effectively schedule and prioritize work flow and deliver error-free output on-time
- Operate computers with various publication and graphic software programs used in the preparation and production of technical documentation
- Coordinate multiple publication projects simultaneously with challenging deadlines
- Understand and interpret detailed instructions
- Consistently produce quality output and meet customer requirements and expectations
