Leading Male and Female for Independent film: Summer Bridges

Actor is needed in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.

Casting call for leading male and female role. Talented young actors/ actresses only who can fit the characters description: Age range both early-mid 20’s . The ideal candidate for both roles should be comfortable with conveying intamacy to one another (PG only). The characters are childhood sweethearts - stuck with each other all their lives. The end of University has presented a conflicting choice between the couple. How do they prepare for a life of independence when they’re still reliant on each other.

Leading Male: Cam - He is over-possessive due to deep affection and feeling the need to protect her from her own mental illness. (He brings the restlessness and childish nature out of her)

Leading Female: Callie - preferably someone with a softly spoken northern accent. She is deeply troubled with her own mentality but wants more from life than staying in her hometown. She wants to explore the world and be independent but doesn’t know how to tell him. (She brings the strictness, frustration and fear out of him)

Synopsis:
Summer Bridges is a beautifully captured anecdote of life. The film encapsulates poetic realism that opens up a new way of engaging the audience
in a participatory experience in watching this film. Harnessing oneiric structuring that allows viewers to feel like they are witnessing someone’s life — through vague and half-remembered memories and dreams.

By exploring tales of mental illness and the struggle between finding one’s independence whilst finding themselves utterly incapable to be without one another. The film circulates around the struggles a young couple face over
their summer break after university ends. Tackling issues that arise when navigating the complexity love can hold. This is a story of self growth and navigating the complexities of a toxic relationship with one’s own mind. Whilst challenging the viewer in the power of perception.
