My name is Juan Canals, I’m a multi instrumentalist from Venezuela currently living in Lisbon. I’ve been a musician most of my life, originally playing the cello and more recently branched out to other genres and instruments.

The project I’m looking to make is an EP with a couple of songs titled New Horizons. I already released some music a year or so ago but this would be a different sound that I’m feeling right now.

I’m looking for someone based in Lisbon to meet in person and work on the songwriting/production stage and later the Producer can work on the mixing when is best suited.

I don’t have a deadline for this since it’s a personal project. With that in mind I’m looking for a long term collaboration that can start with this EP and later continue with singles or anything else. I’m looking for someone to help me explore different sounds and pinpoint what might sound best for me.

As far of the style I’m looking to make right now is a mix of IDM/jazz/psychedelic. I’m currently really liking bands like: The Comet is Coming, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Bon Iver, Jacob Collier.
