Job Description

Charles River Films is seeking a remote TV Pilot editor for 50 minute TV Pilot for sale to streaming. We will need occasional meetings to go over edits if you join our team. This is an INTERNSHIP but we can add a PAY OUT FROM FINAL CONTRACT agreement since the pilot is actively in development. In other words if we sell, we pay $5000 flat. Here is what we are offering NOW: Internship with school credit. My company is an LLC. and I am happy to provide credit and referral letters. Also we will offer an ASSOCIATE PRODUCER CREDIT, IMDB credit (EDITOR & ASSOCIATE PRODUCER), and a future GOOD FAITH offer for work with the show if we sell and stay attached. We are actively being courted by a TV DEVELOP. EXEC.

As far as your experience, I don’t care how much experience you have if you can edit complex material, I am interested. I am more interested in your ability to understand complex stories like Euphoria, The Idol, Ginny & Georgia type shows. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with an eye for quality and detail and who is a VERY good editor and STORYTELLER. The person we are looking for is also someone who is able to work autonomously and has a strong sense of ownership with some time for meetings in midtown Atlanta to go over benchmarks and rough drafts.

Duties include:

Edit a TV pilot in post production.

• Work closely with the production team to ensure that editorial tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Manage timelines and schedules for assigned projects.
• Work closely with the art department to ensure that editorial tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Assist in the creation of promotional materials such as banners, flyers, and other marketing materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Editing of complex stories. Davinci Resolve, Final Cut or other and an understanding of Gen Z style shows i.e. Euphoria, Ginny & Georgia, The Idol. You must have advanced systems and understand how to edit TV for STORY not just to string it together. This is not a music video or a YouTube video. The pilot was shot on an Arri Alexa Mini and there are over 100 hours of footage. We ran out of money after producers left us high and dry (they are no longer involved) but we DO have a DEVELOPMENT EXEC. who has worked with Tyler Perry and more and who wants to shop it. I need the pilot edited. We will also need color correction, audio mixing, etc. but if you cannot do that, it’s not a dealbreaker. If you can, BONUS.

• No minimum. This is a real ask so I don’t care if you are a college student. If you are good, let’s work out a deal that helps you!

Benefits:

There are names involved withe the project. IMDB credit. Associate Producer and EDITOR credit. A VERY reputable development executive is interested and wants to shop. The exec. is willing to shop without the edit but would rather have and so would I. Contact me. The benefits could outweigh an initial paycheck. And of course if we sell, I will cut you a $5K check as part of the agreement.
