Job Summary:
As a Part-Time Filmmaker at Consumer51, you will play a crucial role in bringing our clients’ stories to life through visually engaging and compelling documentary-style videos. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with our talented team to create impactful content that resonates with our clients’ target audiences. The ideal candidate is not only proficient in videography and video editing but also possesses a keen eye for storytelling and a deep understanding of using video as a powerful marketing tool.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with our marketing and creative teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Shoot and record high-quality documentary-style videos that align with our clients’ brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
- Utilize drones to capture stunning aerial shots and add a unique perspective to the videos.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Conduct pre-production planning, including location scouting and permitting, shot lists, and storyboarding, to ensure seamless video shoots.
- Conduct on-site video shoots, working both independently and as part of a team, depending on project requirements.
- Edit raw footage into polished and compelling videos using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere and other relevant tools.
- Enhance videos with appropriate music, sound effects, and graphics to enhance the storytelling aspect and amplify our clients’ messaging.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to optimize video content for various digital platforms and target audiences.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in videography to bring fresh ideas and innovation to video projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality videos that meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Filmmaker/Videographer, with a portfolio showcasing skilled direction in documentary-style videos.
- Proficiency in operating drones for aerial videography, capturing breathtaking shots. Must hold the proper FAA remote pilot certificate and/or be willing to be certified (or recertified).
- Strong skills in video editing using Adobe Premiere and other relevant video editing software.
- Excellent knowledge of videography techniques, lighting, composition, and audio recording.
- Strong understanding of storytelling and the ability to effectively convey brand messages through video.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to different project requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and team members.
- Availability to work in the greater Philadelphia area.
