The story ‘Blinded Fate’ opens with Dami’s birth and the narrator an older Dami (at 25 years old) remembers his life at the primitive and the most important time of his life. The story opens with Ade, Dami’s mum giving birth and Tony, Dami’s dad is not present – we see in a camera shot Dami’s cousin, David. David is the opposite of Dami, but they are similar in a way. The story progresses to the idea of death and meeting with death for the first time. Then Dami takes us through the psychological thriller – filled with, family relationships, personal love, friendship, hate and the beauty of life.
