My name is Melissa Jade. I am 21 years old, living in Penarth.

I have been in and around music all my life and I am looking for a dedicated person to assist me with making an EP. I envision these songs to be about struggles growing up in a forever changing society, The struggles of loneliness but also the power of independence. I am looking to find my own voice and confidence with someone who is just as fun and free spirited as me.
I believe I can sing, however I am searching for a calming, warm but spacious place to express my emotions and fill my songs with my personal power and dedication. My style would be soul as I love the sound of raw acoustics and real instruments instead of computers.
I am not looking at a time scale or anything what so ever as I have never stepped foot near a microphone.
I want my artwork to be completed to the highest standard but also to be understood and moved by others in this world.

I would say my voice is rather low for a female but still smooth. However, I definitely cannot hit high notes like Ariana Grande.

The artists that inspire me are Sade, Jess Glynn, Carly Simon and Adele but most importantly Dolly Parton. I feel as though these woman provide a sound that resonates with independent women and showcase their power and beauty within.

The one thing I struggle with is song writing and matching it to a rhythm.
