About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Junior Video Editor with a passion for creating, producing and editing social media content for beauty and fashion brands, and a desire to develop their videography and video editing skills. Working to support brand, social media and communication team to push the creative and help develop the style, tone and quality of Hair by Sam McKnight video content across social as well as display, e-commerce and paid media. You will be a creative problem solver with a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to manage the delivery of a large volume of assets and multiple projects, at times working under tight deadlines e.g. during Fashion Week. This is a great opportunity to work on big industry projects and create the best-in-class beauty content. This is a part time role, initially working 2 days a week, Monday and Tuesday from our studio in west London, or on shoot location.

Your responsibilities: Videography, Video Editing and Motion Graphics

• Responsible for video edit and animation for social media: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and other digital channels with an opportunity to contribute to concept creation
• Able to confidently sound mix, colour grade, and re-version, under tight deadlines
• Researching the best music and sounds for the right videos and content
• Collaborating with the Creative Director and team on set to achieve their vision on model and still life shoots
• Supporting with delivering lighting tests, lighting setups to cater to brief requirements
• Acting as a Camera Operator support on set
• Creating graphics / motion graphics for video edits

Who we are looking for

• Strong skills in creating content with audience engagement at the front of mind
• Great storytelling skills with attention to detail
• Experience shooting content as well as editing and working with motion graphics
• Good understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, and composition
• Working knowledge of key software such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator or Premier Pro and After Effects but a willingness to learn is key
• Experience in graphic design is highly desirable
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for web design is a plus
• A passion for keeping up with trends and what’s happening on different media platforms
• The ability to work in a reactive environment with a team player attitude to collaborate and contribute
