Job Description:

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have experience or skills in music engineering or producing and want more experience working at a music studio in Toronto. This is a freelance position meaning you will have full access to a professional music studio in Toronto in order to bring in clients to fulfill any music recording or multimedia needs. Note: We do not pay any guaranteed salaries or hourly wages!! We are solely providing you a space to work at for a very low cost, allowing you to mark up your own prices depending on your skill level and experience. We will be hosting a set of group seminars and information sessions which will include all details and also a tour of the studio. Most of our audio engineers make around $20-35 per hour, with potential for mixing and mastering sales which starts around $150 per song! The benefits of this position is you are able to set your own schedule, work at your own pace, while also being able to set your own prices to maximize… your income depending on how many sessions and bookings you can make. If you have already freelanced as an engineer and understand the economics of how it works is a plus. We have been operating for over 3 years and have worked with over 300+ local and overseas artists. Now our new location, we are looking to expand our staff and roster.

Requirements:

• Willingness to learn
• Proficient with tech and software
• High level of attention span and attention to detail
• Enthusiastic customer service skills
• Age 19 or older
• Available to commute downtown Toronto at least 3-4 days of the week
• Responsible and Reliable when working with valuable equipment
• Experience producing or engineering music
• Knowledge of current music trends, artists, sounds, and relevant topics

Job Duties:

• Assist main engineer with recording sessions
• Independently run recording sessions
• Maintain work station and equipment
• Understand the use of audio software, plugins
• Sign in/out sheets for artists
• Use free time to enhance skills, produce beats, samples, and instrumentals
• Social media updates and marketing
• Attend team meetings
