Graduate Software Engineer/Software Engineer

We are a rapidly growing disability support company looking for someone with experience and knowledge of software development who is able to assist us with the design and creation of a system to manage specific business processes. This is a great opportunity for someone to build their portfolio or to gain further experience in industry.

This role is suitable for graduates and junior software developers and offers great potential for both short term and long term positions as well as great flexibility. We are looking for a motivated individual who has excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and an organised approach to work.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside our friendly team in a relaxed office environment to gain an understanding of specific business operations
• Work with Finance and Operations Director to design and potentially develop a software solution to manage business operations
• Offer knowledge and advice on digital solutions to existing paper based systems and further develop existing digital systems in place
• Respond to requests and feedback from departments and staff to ensure systems meet requirements
• Deal with general technical queries

Skills:

• Experience in Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of software development
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of web design/construction to build a UI.
• Knowledge of API integration
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with an attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to travel to our office based in Boningale, Shropshire, WV7 3DA
• Must have valid full UK driver’s licence

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 30 per week
